A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Monday, becoming 3-4 degrees below their annual average. Therefore, relatively cold weather will prevail in most areas of the Kingdom, while it will be moderate in the Jordan valley and the Dead Sea.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the weather will change to be cold at night in many regions, while it will be mild in the Jordan valley and the Dead Sea with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust in the desert areas.
Similar weather conditions will remain over the next two days with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds, blowing dust at times, the JMD said.
Daytime temperatures expected for today will hover around 16 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern governorates, dropping down at night to 7 degrees. The weather will be warmer in the southern port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 28 degrees and lows sliding to 15, the JMD added.
