Relatively cold weather forecast for 3 days

The weather will be relatively cold on Sunday in the highlands and mild in the Badia areas and the plains, while it will be moderate in the Jordan valley and the Dead Sea with clouds at various altitudes in the southern parts of the Kingdom, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

A slight chance for scattered showers is also expected in the southern regions with easterly to brisk winds, blowing dust in the desert areas, the JMD said.

Mercury levels will drop few degrees on Monday, as relatively cold conditions will remain until Tuesday in many areas of the country, while it will be moderate in the Jordan Valley and Aqaba with cloudy skies and easterly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust at times, the department added.

Daytime temperatures expected for today will hover around 19 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern governorates, dropping down at night to 8 and 10 . The weather will be hotter in the port city of Aqaba with highs jumping to 29 degrees and lows sliding to 19, the JMD noted.
