Intermittent rain forecast on Saturday

Spotty showers are forecast in various regions of the Kingdom on Saturday as unstable weather conditions brought thunderstorms and heavy rain in some parts of the northern and central highlands and the eastern region over the past 24 hours.

The Jordan Meteorological Department warned of flash floods in limited parts of the Kingdom throughout Saturday. It added that the weather will begin to stabilize in the evening but a further decline in mercury levels is expected over the next two days.

The highs will remain in the 20-22 degrees Celsius vicinity in the highlands sliding to around 12 degrees at night. In the Jordan Valley and the southern Red Sea port of Aqaba, it will remain hot with temperature above 30 degrees Celsius.
