CDD personnel honored for extinguishing tanker fire

Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazaiah, on Tuesday, honored CDD Lieutenant Naeem Omoush, after puting out a fire in the rear wheel of a tanker.

While Lt. Omoush was driving his vehicle behind a tanker loaded with 35 tons of gasoline in the Tawaheen Al-Odwan area, in Zarqa governorate, he noticed that a fire erupted in the rear wheel of the tanker, a CDD statement said.

Then he stopped the tanker’s driver and put the fire using an extinguisher, which prevented the fire to spread to the rest of the tanker, the statement added.

Bazaiah said Omoush’s effort is a true embodiment of King Abdullah’s directives aim to provide the best humanitarian services to Jordanians and preserve their lives and properties.

Omoush stressed that this generous gesture of the CDD’s leadership is an incentive for him to make more efforts to provide help and assistance to those who are in need.
