Palestinian prisoners start hunger strike

shaheennews

Some 1,400 Palestine prisoners in five Israeli prisons on Sunday launched a mass hunger strike to protest the deteriorating situation inside the occupation’s jails, according to the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs.

The prisoners’ demands focus on the removal of cellphone jamming devices recently installed by the prison administration in the Negev prison, which are believed to have severe medical implications, as well as preventing the detainees from watching television and listening to the radio.

The demands of the prisoners also include the withdrawal from the penalties imposed on in Negev and Rimon prisons.
