Jordan delegation heads to Davos to promote investment

– Prime Minister Omar Razzaz heads Jordan’s delegation at 49th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) kicked off in Davos, Switzerland in January 22 and lasts until 25 January.
Razzaz will arrive in Davos Wednesday afternoon to head the country’s delegation participating at the forum, which includes Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi, Minister of State for Investment Muhannad Shehadeh and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Mary Kawar.
On Thursday, the prime minister will take part in the forum’s special session to address attracting investments designed to boost development and provide more job opportunities for Jordanians.
During his visit, Razzaz will also hold bilateral meetings with a number of countries’ presidents and senior officials participating at the Forum to discuss issues of common interest.
Global leaders, corporate titans, academics and thinkers Tuesday morning started their meeting in the Swiss ski resort of Davos for the annual World Economic Forum held this year under the theme “Globalization 4.0”.
Some 3,000 participants have converged on the Alpine town for the meeting of the global elite that this year features some 350 sessions addressing issues including improving global co-operation, embracing the digital revolution and tackling climate change.
