An exhibition featuring made-in-Jordan products is set to kick off in March in the Qatari capital of Doha, in a bid for national products to gain a broader foothold in the Gulf state’s market.

The three-day fair, organized by the International Promoters Company (IPCO) in cooperation with Amman Chamber of Industry and Jordan Investment Commission, provides ample opportunities for the industrial sector to place its products on display shelves. The event is expected to grab the attention of a significant number of visitors for the high-quality Jordanian products that made a name for themselves in the region.

“The event is of great importance to bolster the presence of domestic commodities in foreign markets”, State Minister for Investment Affairs Muhanad Shhadah said in a statement Friday, urging companies to make use of participation and establish relations with Qatari stakeholders.

He, moreover, said national exports are key to economic growth which eyes increased employment opportunities and improved citizens’ standard of living, noting the 3.9 per cent pick-up in the volume of exports in 2018.

The minister also projected domestic products to continue to boom which would breathe new life into exports through new markets, in addition to invigorate economic engagement and trade exchange with neighboring countries.
