2 dead, one seriously injured in Mafraq accident

Two people died and one was seriously injured when their vehicle crashed into a utility pole near the city of Mafraq, according to the Civil Defence Department (CDD).

Mafraq CDD Director, Col. Khaled Shloul, said three people were critically injured when their vehicle caught fire in the crash, which took place yesterday, adding that the injuries were evacuated to hospitals in Mafraq and Zarqa.

Director of the Mafraq Government Hospital Dr. Mohammad Tahhan said one person arrived at the hospital with critical wounds, and died this morning, and another succumbed to his wounds in the Zarqa government Hospital.
