King arrives at UN Headquarters, will address General Assembly

His Majesty King Abdullah II arrived at the United Nation headquarters in New York heading Jordan’s delegation to the UN General Assembly.

His Majesty will address the General Assembly, in which he will stress the centrality of the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem and that the two-state solution is the only avenue to bring about a just and lasting peace in the region.

The King’s speech will also focus on the importance of supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), the need to intensify international efforts in the war on terror and the burdens posed by the Syrian refugee crisis on Jordan.
