Gov’t announces ‘Tax Calculator’ website

The Jordanian government created a template –for the duration of ten days– to calculate income tax according to the newly drafted Income Tax Bill (ITB), on Monday, September 17, 2018

The website has a section dedicated to public comments and inquiries about the ITB. The government stated that these comments and suggestions will be reviewed and taken into consideration prior to presenting the Bill to the House of Representatives for approval.

The online platform is simple and delivers instant calculation of the amount of the Income Tax as well as the “Takaful” (also known as Social Solidarity Tax).
