Industrial Production Quantities down by 6%

The General Industrial Production Quantities index for the first seven months of 2018 decreased by 6.3% against the same period in 2017.

The production quantities of the manufacturing industries index slumped by 7.2%, with a relative importance of 86.0%, and the quantities of electricity production index by 3.0%, with a relative importance of 5.8%, indicates a report issued by the Department of Statistics (DoS).

July’s index witnessed a surge by 7.5% compared in June, which resulted in an increase in the production quantities of the manufacturing industries by 6.1% with a relative importance of 86.0% and the quantities of electricity production index by 14.9% with a relative importance of 5.8%, the DoS report shows.
