On October 8, the KOICA Jordan Office conducted the second phase of its “Sports and Health Awareness Day for Children” for 20 children from the Al-Asmaa Al-Husna Charity Association, in cooperation with Quick Sand Gym. This phase was conducted in collaboration with KOICA’s World Friends Korea (WFK) volunteers and the KOICA Alumni Association of Jordan (KAAJ) board members, aiming to emphasize the importance of physical fitness, nutrition, and overall health.

Building on the success of the first phase held on August 28, which engaged 20 children from the Baqaa Orphanage Center for Boys, this event continued to promote physical fitness, nutrition, and overall health among the participants. The second phase introduced an additional sports activity class, led by the WFK volunteers and KAAJ members, providing the children with a diverse range of engaging experiences.

The day began with a new sports activity introduced by the WFK volunteers and KAAJ members. These activities included a Korean chopstick game and a Hangul puzzle-solving activity, which aimed to promote a positive perception of Korea while fostering teamwork among the participants.

The second session involved engaging sports exercises and competitions, led by Coaches Hamza Rahahleh and Dyala Sabbagh, focusing on movement and agility. Following this, Ms. Lubna delivered an informative health lecture on proper nutrition. After enjoying a healthy snack, the final session was conducted by Coach Karam Abdallah, who taught the basics of boxing. The event concluded with a group photo and a lunch gathering.

KOICA will continue to support Jordan through its various programs, fostering community development and enhancing well-being across different sectors.
