King, France president discuss stepping up international efforts to end escalation in Gaza, its surroundings

 His Majesty King Abdullah and France President Emmanuel Macron, in a phone call on Sunday, discussed the need to step up international efforts to end the escalation in Gaza and its surroundings.

King Abdullah warned that the situation will continue to deteriorate in the absence of a just solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, noting the dangerous repercussions of escalation on regional security.

The importance of maintaining coordination between Jordan and France, and the need to push towards self-restraint, protecting civilians, and respecting international humanitarian law were also discussed.
