Jordan is set to experience a day of elevated temperatures on Wednesday, accompanied by high-altitude clouds and moderate northwesterly winds, intermittently gaining strength.

In its daily update, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) issued a cautionary advisory regarding potential direct sun exposure during peak hours, advising individuals to take necessary precautions. Additionally, there is a chance for reduced horizontal visibility due to dust accumulation in desert regions.

Thursday is projected to witness a marginal decline in temperature, so relative warmth is expected over high mountainous regions, while the rest of the areas will remain notably hot.

On Friday, further temperature fluctuations are anticipated, bringing relatively warm conditions in most localities, with heightened warmth in the desert, valleys, and the coastal city of Aqaba.

A continued reduction in temperatures is forecast on Saturday, with daytime highs aligning closer to seasonal averages. The weather landscape will encompass typical summertime conditions across mountainous and plain areas, while remaining hot in other regions.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 38 and 35 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 22C or even 20C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 41C and lows of 29C.
