Temperatures to slightly drop, heat concerns persist

 Jordan is set to experience a minor decline in temperatures on Thursday, hovering around the seasonal average for this time of the year. Meteorologists forecast normal summer weather over the mountainous regions and plains, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to endure hot conditions.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has issued a warning regarding direct exposure to the sun during peak hours. Precautions should be taken to protect against the heat, especially in the mentioned hot regions.

The weather outlook for Friday and Saturday indicates a continuation of normal summer conditions over the mountainous areas and plains, accompanied by persistently high temperatures in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 33 and 31 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 19 or even 17 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have scorching weather, with highs of 42C and lows of 27C.
