Temperatures on Thursday are expected to exceed the average for this time of year by approximately 3-4 degrees Celsius. The prevailing weather conditions will range from relatively hot to hot, accompanied by the presence of medium and high clouds, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
During the evening hours, the Kingdom is anticipated to experience a mild state of instability, with an increase in cloud cover and scattered showers, particularly in the southern regions, occasionally accompanied by thunder. Winds will be moderate and blowing from the northwest, but they will shift to the southwest in the evening and at night. These winds may intermittently become brisk, leading to the stirring up of dust in various areas, decreasing horizontal visibility.
The impact of the unstable weather is projected to intensify on Friday. Dusty conditions will prevail across most regions, resulting in reduced horizontal visibility. Additionally, clouds at different altitudes will be observed, with scattered showers in various parts of the Kingdom. Heavy rainfall may be possible for a brief period, with thunder and occasional hailfall in certain areas. Winds will also be brisk, blowing from the southwest, and occasionally gusting up to 60 km/h.
On Saturday, dusty conditions will persist in the eastern and southeastern regions of the Kingdom. Furthermore, a slight decrease in temperatures is expected in most areas, so the weather will be moderate in the mountainous regions and plains, while relatively hot to hot conditions will prevail in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 34 and 32 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 22 or even 20 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have warmer weather, with highs of 40C and lows of 28C.
