Jordan to host 49th meeting of regional commission on tourism

Jordan will host at the Dead Sea the 49th meeting of the Regional Commission for the Middle East of the World Tourism Organization (WTO) on Wednesday, in the presence of the WTO’s Secretary-General and Arab tourism ministers.

The commission, which includes in its membership ministers from member states, government officials, key stakeholders in the tourism sector and international organizations, will discuss the latest developments in the tourism sector, in addition to electing temporary and permanent committees in the organization.

The meeting will also go over the plans and strategies of the WTO and the programs and projects that will be established in the future.
