The Kingdom on Monday remains under the influence of unsettled weather conditions, creating a diverse range of temperatures across various regions. Therefore, the weather will be moderately warm in most areas, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will experience relatively hot temperatures, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Clouds of varying altitudes will be formed, bringing scattered showers in various parts of the Kingdom, especially in the eastern and southern regions, including the city of Aqaba. These showers may occasionally be heavy, accompanied by thunder and hail, leading to the formation of floods in valleys and low-lying areas. The winds will be moderate, ranging from southeast to southwest, occasionally gusty and dusty in many areas, causing reduced visibility. In the evening, the winds will shift to the northwest.
The JMD warns of the risk of flash floods in valleys and low-lying areas, as well as reduced horizontal visibility due to dust in many areas, and the danger of slippery roads during rainfall.
Looking ahead, Tuesday’s weather is expected to be moderately warm in most regions of the Kingdom. The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba will continue to experience relatively hot temperatures. Meanwhile, clouds at different altitudes will bring the possibility of rain in the eastern and southeastern parts of the country, while winds will be northwesterly moderate, occasionally picking up.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Wednesday, but Thursday will see a rise in temperatures, bringing moderate weather to the mountainous areas and relatively hot conditions to the rest of the regions.
Today’s peak temperatures will be between 26 and 24 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 17 or even 15 degrees in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have warmer weather, with highs of 35C and lows of 22C.
