Friends of Silent Animals launches an initiative to reduce aggressive stray dogs.
Silent Animal Friends launched a national initiative to reduce the spread of stray dogs in residential neighborhoods and population centers in cities and villages throughout the country.
Mrs. Reem Saleh, from the Silent Animals Friends Board of Directors, has said that this initiative comes within the framework of the increase in the number of stray dogs in many regions of Jordan, and they have become a threat to residential neighborhoods, children, and passers-by.
Mrs. Reem Saleh also added that this initiative aims to reduce the spread of stray dogs by finding medical interventions (sterilization operations) by veterinary experts to prevent mating between dogs and prevent breeding. This method will prevent the increasing number of dogs, and this matter will reflect positively on the general dog’s behaviors, while trying to eliminate any from of aggresive behaviors, and reduce the intensity, feriocity, and dangerous behaviors of stray dogs all around.
Ms. Arwa Wreikat from the Board of Directors of Silent Animal Friends called on the local municipalities and the Amman municipality to cooperate with the Friends of Silent Animals to limit the spread of stray dogs and to deliver the dogs to the site located in the city of Madaba, Jordan or to communicate through the Friends of the Silent Animals page on both
Facebook and Instagram.
