Cold, cloudy weather forecast for Thursday

The weather is expected to remain cold and partly cloudy on Thursday, with a possibility of light, scattered showers in the northern region, with northwesterly winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said.
The weather department issued alerts about frost formation, slippery roads in areas experiencing rainfall, and poor horizontal visibility over the highlands due to dense fog.
On Friday, a slight rise in temperatures is expected, bringing sunny weather in the highlands and plains, while it will be pleasant in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Saturday and Sunday with another rise in mercury levels, the JMD added.
Temperatures in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 10 degrees Celsius and a low of 1C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 18C, sliding to 9C at night.
