Cold weather, spotty showers forecast for two days

Relatively cold and partly cloudy weather conditions are expected to prevail on Sunday, with a chance for scattered showers in the northern part of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
In its report, the JMD warned of poor horizontal visibility in the early morning hours over the highlands and the Badia due to heavy fog, and of slippery roads in areas that witness downpour.
As we head into Monday, the weather will be cold with cloudy skies and intermittent showers in various regions, which could be often heavy accompanied by thunder, the JMD noted.
On Tuesday, mercury levels will rise again a few degrees, but cold conditions will persist in most areas of the country, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be pleasant, with low-altitude clouds, the JMD predicted.
Also today, temperatures in Amman will hit 15 degrees Celsius, dipping to 4C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, sliding to 10C at night.
