Hardline Jewish settlers storm Al-Aqsa Mosque under heavy police escort

For a fourth consecutive day, scores of Jewish extremist settlers continued their incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque / Haram Al Sharif compound in occupied East Jerusalem, observing the Jewish “Hanukkah” holiday.

A statement by the Islamic Awqaf and Al-Aqsa Affairs said that today’s raid was conducted through al-Magharebah Gate in groups, under the heavy protection of Israeli police, who restricted Muslim worshippers’ access to the mosque.

“The radical settlers provocatively performed their rituals in the mosque’s yards and near al-Silsila Gate,” it added.
