The weather on Thursday is forecast to be moderate in the high areas and the plains, and relatively hot elsewhere as temperatures slightly rise, along with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
On Friday, a tangible rise in mercury levels is expected, bringing hot conditions in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, while it will be relatively hot in other regions, the forecasters predicted.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Saturday with another rise in temperatures, and northwesterly to northeasterly moderate winds.
Today, mercury in the capital Amman will range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 17C, while the port city of Aqaba will see a sweltering 38, sliding to 26C at night.
