 The global Covid caseload surged to 490 million as of Sunday, according to the American Johns Hopkins University.

Statistics showed that the pandemic’s death toll rose to 6.1 million, noting that the number of vaccinations administered globally reached 10.9 billion.

The United States is still at the top of the list of cases and deaths.
