Turkish Airlines has resumed its regular flights to King Hussein International Airport in Aqaba after a suspension of more than two years in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
On Monday morning, a Turkish Airlines plane carrying 56 passengers from Istanbul landed at the airport and will return with 87 passengers.
CEO of the Aqaba Airports Company and Director of King Hussein International Airport, Ramzi Arafat, said that Turkish Airlines will operate three flights per week to Aqaba, stressing that this will boost the recovery of the tourism and commercial sectors in the Aqaba Special Economic Zone.
