Warm weather to prevail Wednesday as temperatures rise

shahennews

A significant rise in temperatures is forecast on Wednesday, becoming 6-8 degrees above annual average and binging relatively warm weather in most parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Clouds will appear at medium and high altitudes, with southeasterly moderate to brisk winds. At night, colder weather will prevail with low horizontal visibility due to dust-stirring winds.

On Thursday, a wet and cold air mass accompanied by a depression centered over Turkey will affect the Kingdom, pushing temperatures down with cloudy skies, heavy rain and westerly strong winds, the JMD added.

Cold weather will continue through Friday, with rainfall in the northern and central regions. The weather department warned of low horizontal visibility due to fog formation and dust.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman today will hover around 24 degrees Celsius, dipping into 9C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 28C, dropping to 15C during night hours.
