Pleasant weather to prevail countrywide on Monday

Pleasant weather conditions are forecast to prevail in most parts of the country on Monday, with clouds at high altitudes and westerly light winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Similar weather will persist on Tuesday, with northwesterly moderate winds, while Wednesday will see another rise in mercury levels to become 4-6 degrees above annual average.

At night, the weather department did not rule out the possibility of scattered showers in the northern region, with southeasterly to southwesterly moderate winds, picking up at times.

Cold weather will make a comeback on Thursday as a cold front will be affecting the Kingdom, pushing temperatures down with cloudy skies, rain and westerly strong winds, the JMD added.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman today will hover around 17 degrees Celsius, dipping into 6C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 25C, dropping to 14C during night hours.
