Int’l oil derivatives prices rise in 2nd week of February

The prices of oil derivatives in global markets have risen in the second week of February, according to data released on Monday by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The ministry’s figures showed that the price of 90-octane gasoline went up by 1.9 percent, going from $883.9 per ton in the first week of February to $901 in the second week, while the price of 95-octane gasoline rose from $912.3 per ton to $923.4 per ton, an increase of 1.2 percent.

Diesel prices also increased by 2.5 percent going from $792.8 per ton to $812.5, while the prices of kerosene rose by 1.2 percent, from $833.5 to $843.4 per ton.

The prices of liquefied gas for February picked up by 8.2 percent, going from $717.5 to $776 per ton.

Meanwhile, Benchmark Brent crude prices also rose in the second week of the current month, from $94.1 to $97.1 per barrel.
