Rain showers, cold conditions to prevail on Monday

shahennews

Monday’s temperatures are forecast to drop and bring cold weather in most parts of the Kingdom, except in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba where it will be pleasant, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Clouds will appear at low altitudes, making it possible for the northern region to see scattered showers of rain, while winds will be northwesterly moderate, picking at times in the eastern area.

The JMD warned of low horizontal visibility due to fog in the early morning and night hours, mainly in mountainous areas, and of frost formation in the southern high range and parts of the badia.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, similar cold weather will persist despite a slight rise in mercury levels, with low-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate winds.

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Amman today will range between 13 degrees Celsius, dipping into 3C at night, while the Gulf of Aqaba will see a fair 22C, dropping to 10C during night hours.
