Cold weather forecast for weekend

Cold weather conditions are forecast to prevail countrywide on Thursday, with clouds at low altitudes and westerly moderate winds, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
On Friday, a slight drop in temperatures is expected, bringing cold and partly cloudy weather conditions, with a chance for scattered showers in the northern and central regions, and southwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
Similar weather conditions will persist on Saturday and Sunday despite a slight rise in mecrury levels, the JMD added.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across Jordan today will range between 15 and 12 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 8C or even 7C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be warmer with mercury reaching a high of 21C and a low of 16C.
