Temperatures on Thursday are forecast to slightly drop, but will remain higher than the annual average.
According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), the weather will be moderate in the highlands, relatively hot in the plains, and hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.
In its report, the JMD warned of the danger of direct exposure to the sun at noon in the regions with high temperatures, and the possibility of low horizontal visibility in the Badia regions due to dust.
Friday and Saturday will bring in similar weather conditions, with a further drop in temperatures prevailing nationwide.
Maximum temperatures today are expected to hover between 33 and 28 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern region, while minimum temperatures will range between 19 and 16 degrees. In the southern highlands, the highs will remain in the 29-degree range, while the lows will be slightly cooler, dropping to 14 degrees at night. Highs in Aqaba are predicted to hit 39 degrees, while the lows will reach 27 degrees Celsius, the JMD added.
