A slight drop in temperatures is forecast on Sunday, with relatively hot weather conditions prevailing in the highlands and the plains while it will remain hot in other areas, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

In its report, the JMD warned of the danger of direct exposure to the sun at noon, and the possibility of low horizontal visibility in the Badia regions due to dust.

Monday will bring in similar temperatures, with high-altitude clouds and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds.

Maximum temperatures today are expected to hover between 35 and 30 degrees Celsius in Amman and the northern region, while minimum temperatures will range between 22 and 19 degrees. In the southern highlands, the highs will remain in the 31-degree range, while the lows will be slightly cooler, dropping to 17 degrees at night. Highs in Aqaba are predicted to hit 39 degrees, while the lows will reach 27 degrees Celsius, the JMD added.
