Normal summer weather forecast in highlands, hot in other regions

Temperatures on Tuesday are forecast to be around their annual average, with normal summer conditions prevailing in the heights and the plains, while it will be hot in other parts of the country, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).
The weather department warned against standing under direct sunlight for extended periods, especially at noon, in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba regions.
On Wednesday, the Kingdom will be affected by a hot spell, bringing relatively hot conditions in the highlands and the plains, and scorching weather in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, with northwesterly moderate winds, the JMD added.
Toward Thursday, the impact of the heatwave will intensify with mercury levels climbing up to 5-6 degrees above their seasonal average, bringing hot conditions in most regions, while the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba are set to swelter in blistering weather, the forecasters said.
The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Tuesday will range between 33 and 29 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 23C or even 17C in the southern highlands.
In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 40C and a low of 29C.
