Ukrainian embassy: Cooperation with Jordan witnesses active development

The Ukrainian embassy in Amman confirmed that this year has demonstrated active development of bilateral dialogue between Ukraine and Jordan.
A statement by the embassy on Monday, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Ukrainian independence day, said that effective coordination between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and His Majesty King Abdullah II allowed the two sides to define priorities for the development of bilateral relations in the short and medium term and start its practical implementation with particular emphasis on trade and economic as well as defense and security cooperation.
“On August 24, Ukraine celebrates the 30th anniversary of Independence Day,” it stated, noting that on this day in 1991, the Parliament of Ukraine, Verkhovna Rada, endorsed the Act of Proclamation of State Independence of Ukraine.
The embassy also stressed that Ukraine has secured the status of one of the most efficient technological, industrial platforms in Europe with the active development of the sector of innovative information technologies, indicating that the IT sector brings Ukraine up to $ 5 billion annually, the industry is estimated at $ 17 billion and continues to grow dynamically. More than 100 R&D centers located in Ukraine contribute to its scientific and technological progress.
“Ukraine is a key transport and logistics hub connecting Europe, Middle East and Asia. 19 free trade agreements with 47 countries contribute to deeper integration of Ukraine into the global trade and industry networks,” it further said.
