shahennews

A slight rise in temperatures is expected on Thursday, becoming 3-4 degrees above seasonal average, so it will be relatively hot in the highlands and the plains, and hot in the Badia areas, reaching a high of 34 degrees Celsius in the Capital, Amman, during daytime, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

In the late afternoon and evening hours, cooler weather is forecast as mercury levels slide to around 24C.

The Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the gulf city of Aqaba are set to swelter in scorching weather with temperatures surpassing the threshold of 40C, the JMD expected, warning the public against the direct exposure to sunlight, mainly at noon.

On Friday, similar weather conditions will continue to persist with northwesterly moderate to active winds, the JMD noted.

Toward Saturday, the Kingdom will be affected by a hot air mass, pushing temperatures up and bringing hot conditions in the hilly areas and the plains, while sweltering weather will prevail in the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba, the JMD predicted.
