A hot air mass will continue to envelop the Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday, as temperatures will rise 3-5 degrees higher than annual average, so it will be relatively hot in the highlands, and hot in the Badia areas and the plains.

The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) forecast that sweltering weather will prevail in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the port city of Aqaba, warning against direct exposure to sunlight during daytime.

As we head into Thursday, mercury levels will dip few degrees, but similar weather conditions will continue to persist, the JMD noted.

The highs in Amman and other highlands across the Kingdom on Tuesday will range between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius, dropping at night to 24C or even 19C in the southern highlands. In the Gulf city of Aqaba, it will be much hotter with mercury reaching a high of 43C and a low of 28C.
