Despite a slight drop in mercury levels, scorching weather will continue to prevail in most parts of the Kingdom on Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching 38 degrees Celsius in Amman, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.
Cooler weather is forecast at night as temperatures slide to around 23 degree in the Capital. Meanwhile, highs in the port city of Aqaba and the Dead Sea will surpass the 40C threshold, and lows will hover around 26 at night, the department added.
Temperatures will soar again on Thursday, and the blistering conditions will remain nationwide, with northeasterly moderate winds, the meteorologists noted.
