Health minister, UK ambassador discuss boosting cooperation

Minister of Health Saad Jaber discussed with British Ambassador to Jordan Bridget Brind ways to strengthen relations between Jordan and UK in the health sector and efforts to address the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the meeting, Jaber briefed the ambassador on the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the Jordanian government to curb the spread of coronavirus.
The minister stressed that Jordan continues to provide full support and healthcare services for all residents in the Kingdom.
In turn, the British ambassador expressed her country’s admiration for Jordan’s successful response to the pandemic, stressing that the UK is ready to cooperate with Jordan, support health projects and provide adequate means to reduce the burden on the government, especially since Jordan hosts a large number of Syrian refugees.
