Sunny, warm weather forecast until Thursday

Temperatures are expected to rise 5-6 degrees above their annual average on Wednesday, bringing sunny and pleasant weather in the hilly areas and plains, while it will be warm in other parts of the Kingdom, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief.

At night, colder weather with southeasterly moderate winds is expected, the department added.

Similar weather conditions will continue to prevail on Thursday with high clouds and southeasterly moderate to brisk winds.

On Friday, the country will be affected by unstable weather, causing a tangible drop in mercury levels and bringing relatively cold and partly cloudy conditions in most regions, with scattered showers that may turn heavy at times, while it will be warm in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba.

The highs today will hover around 21 degrees Celsius in Amman, the northern and the southern cities, sliding down to 9, 7 and 6 respectively. The weather will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 28 degrees dropping down to 16 at night.
