Cold weather to persist despite rise in temperatures

A slight rise in temperatures is expected today, but cold conditions will persist in most areas of the Kingdom, with the exception of the Jordan Valley and Aqaba, where the weather will be pleasant, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily brief today.
Light and scattered showers is forecast in the northern and central regions during the early morning hours, while chilly conditions is expected at night with low-altitude clouds and slow winds.
Similar weather condition will prevail over the next two days, with clouds at different altitudes and moderate winds.
Daytime temperatures expected for today in Amman will reach 13 degrees Celsius, and 9 in the northern cities, dropping down to 6 and 4 at night, while it will be warmer in the port city of Aqaba with highs reaching 21 and lows standing at 10, the JMD added further.
