Jordan partakes in Arabosai meetings in Doha

Jordan took part in the 13th session of the General Assembly of the Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (Arabosai), which concluded in Doha on Thursday.

The opening ceremony, which was attended by the Qatari Prime Minister, brought together heads of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) from Arab countries, representatives of regulatory organisations and guests.

Jordan was represented at the meetings by the Director of the Audit Bureau President Office, Mohammed Yamani.

Arabosai is an independent professional entity supporting the SAIs in the Arab countries, which has continued over the years, thanks to efforts to develop its professionalism, said President of the Qatari Audit Bureau Sheikh Bandar bin Mohamed bin Saud al-Thani.

He spoke about the increasing international attention to the importance of the roles played by SAIs within fields related to promoting accountability, transparency and integrity, protecting public money, and establishing trust in public institutions and the rule of law.

Qatar currently chairs the Arab Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions for 2019-2022.
