Mild summer weather graces most regions

shahennews

Amidst a departure from the norm, Jordan experiences a slight drop in temperatures, creating an atmosphere of moderate summer weather in most regions. However, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba continue to endure scorching heat.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), low-altitude clouds will be observed, particularly in the northern and central parts of the kingdom.

In the early morning hours, there is a slight possibility of brief light rainfall in the far north, offering a temporary respite from the arid conditions.
The JMD highlights a cautionary notice regarding limited horizontal visibility in the highlands, plains and desert due to fog formation and dust.

As Wednesday approaches, mercury levels are expected to uptick a few degrees, reaching around the normal averages for this time of year. The majority of the country’s areas will see typical summer weather, while the Badia, the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba remain hot. Moderate northwesterly winds further contribute to the overall weather conditions.

Another slight temperature rise is anticipated on Thursday, with the weather becoming typical for summer in the mountainous areas, while the rest of the regions will enjoy relatively hot to hot conditions. The wind will be moderate, blowing from the northwest.

Today’s peak temperatures will be between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius in Amman and various highlands throughout the Kingdom, with lows of 17 or even 15C in the southern highlands at night. The Gulf city of Aqaba will have sweltering weather, with highs of 40C and lows of 26C.
