Temperatures on Monday are forecast to drop 3 to 4 degrees below average, bringing cold and partly cloudy weather conditions, with a chance for scattered showers in the northern and central regions, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Light snow flurries are also forecast in the early morning hours over the southern high peaks of Al-Sharah mountain range, with northeasterly to northwesterly moderate winds.

The weather department issued alerts about slick roads, and poor horizontal visibility over the highlands due to dense fog.

On Tuesday, the Kingdom will be affected by unstable weather conditions, triggering cloudy skies with spotty showers in various regions. A slight chance for snow is also forecast over the southern high mountains.

Cold weather will persist on Wednesday, with rainfall and northwesterly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust in the Badia.

Temperatures in the capital Amman today will range between a high of 10 degrees Celsius and a low of 0C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a fair 19C, sliding to 8C at night.
