Temperatures forecast at 7-9 degrees above annual average on Wednesday

 Wednesday temperatures are forecast to be 7 to 9 degrees above their annual average, bringing warm weather in the mountains and plains, while it will be relatively hot elsewhere, according to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD).

Clouds will appear at high altitudes, with westerly moderate to brisk winds, stirring dust in the Badia and causing low horizontal visibility.

On Thursday, pleasant spring-like weather will make a comeback as mercury levels slightly drop, with clouds at high altitudes and westerly winds, the JMD added.

Another drop in temperatures is expected Friday, bringing moderate weather countrywide, with westerly moderate to brisk winds.

Mercury in Amman today will range between a high of 30 degrees Celsius and a low of 13C at night, while the port city of Aqaba will see a high of 37C, sliding to 18C at night.
