أطلقت أمانة عمان الكبرى اليوم السبت، بالتعاون مع منظمة اليونيسف، مجلسا بلديا لأطفال عمان لعام 2019.
وقالت مديرة دائرة المرافق والبرامج الاجتماعية في الامانة المهندسة نانسي أبو حيانة: إن المجلس يهدف لإشراك الأطفال في تصميم ومتابعة تنفيذ برامج حماية وتنمية الطفل، وتعزيز مشاركتهم في تسيير الشأن المحلي، مشيرة الى ان المشروع انطلق عام 2004 ويجري كل ثلاث سنوات انتخاب المجلس البلدي للأطفال بدعم وشراكة منظمة اليونيسيف برعاية أمين عمان.
وأكدت مندوب منظمة اليونيسف بيسان عبد القادر خلال الحفل الذي أقيم على مسرح مركز الحسين الثقافي أهمية مشاركة الأطفال في المجلس، بما يضمن لهم تكوين آراء خاصة والقدرة على التواصل والتخطيط وتحمل المسؤولية. واشارت الى ان المجالس البلدية للأطفال تمثل أداة ووسيلة لتعزيز مشاركتهم في صناعة القرارات وحشد الدعم والتأييد لوضع حقوق واهتمامات الأطفال على أولويات بلديات المدن وبما يحقق المصلحة الفضلى للأطفال.
واشتمل الحفل الذي رعاه نائب أمين عمان المحامي حازم النعيمات، على عرض مصور قدمه اطفال المجلس البلدي للأطفال عن الانتخابات وتصورات المجلس البلدي، وعرض مسرحي عن حقوق الاطفال وتجاربهم.
