ووفق لجنة أهالي الأسرى؛ فإن عدد الأسرى المضربين عن الطعام داخل سجون الاحتلال الإسرائيلي ارتفع إلى 353 أسيرًا في سبعة سجون.
وذكرت أنهم موزعون كالتالي: 120 أسيرا في سجن رامون، 20 أسيرا في سجن جلبوع، 100 أسير في سجن النقب، 33 أسيرا في سجن نفحة، 35 أسيرا في سجن مجدو، 20 أسيرا في سجن عوفر، 25 أسيرا في سجن إيشل.

وتشهد سجون الاحتلال تصعيدا منذ مطلع 2019، على خلفية إجراءات قمعية تتخذها مصلحة السجون ضد الأسرى الفلسطينيين، وزادت وتيرتها مؤخرا عقب اقتحام عدد من السجون والاعتداء على الأسرى بالضرب والغاز المسيل للدموع، ما أدى لإصابة العشرات.
ومنذ بداية الاحتلال “الإسرائيلي”، خاض الأسرى الفلسطينيون 28 إضرابا كبيرا وجماعيا لانتزاع مطالبهم، وبجانب هذه الإضرابات هناك مئات الإضرابات المحدودة والفردية في تاريخ الحركة الأسيرة الفلسطينية.
