حذر وزير الدفاع الصيني، وي فنغ خه، من أن أي نزاع مسلح بين بلاده والولايات المتحدة سيكون كارثة، منددا بدعم واشنطن لانفصال تايوان وتنفيذها عمليات في بحر الصين الجنوبي المتنازع عليه.
وشدد الوزير الصيني، في كلمة ألقاها، اليوم الأحد، أمام منتدى “شانغري-لا” الأمني في سنغافورة، على أن الصين “ستقاتل حتى النهاية إذا كانت الولايات المتحدة تريد الصراع بشأن القضايا التجارية”، مشيرا في الوقت نفسه إلى أن بكين تبقي الباب مفتوحا أمام إمكانية الحوار مع واشنطن إذا رغبت في ذلك.
وبخصوص جزيرة تايوان، تعهد الوزير بأن الصين “ستقاتل حتى النهاية” كل من يحاول الفصل بينها وبين تايوان التي تعتبرها بكين جزءا من أراضيها، وشدد على أن “محاولات تقسيم البلاد لن تنجح، وأي تدخل في مسألة تايوان محكوم عليه بالفشل، مهددا باستعادتها بالقوة إذا لزم الأمر”.
وقال، “يجب إعادة توحيد الصين، وذلك سيتحقق. لن نجد أي مبررات لعدم فعل ذلك. وإذا أقدم أحد على فصل تايوان عن الصين، فلن يكون أمام العسكريين الصينيين أي خيار إلا القتال بأي ثمن من أجل الوحدة الوطنية”.
وتابع الوزير، ان الجيش الصيني لا يسعى إلى الإضرار بأي طرف، لكنه لا يخاف من مواجهة التحديات، مضيفا أنه إذا تعدى أحد الخط الأحمر فسوف يتعين على بكين “اتخاذ إجراءات ودحر جميع الأعداء”.
وهاجم الوزير في كلمته “بعض الدول خارج المنطقة، التي تأتي إلى بحر الصين الجنوبي لاستعراض عضلاتها باسم حرية الملاحة”، وذلك في إشارة واضحة للولايات المتحدة.
وجاءت هذه التصريحات على خلفية تصعيد حدة التوتر بين واشنطن وبكين على خلفية الحرب التجارية بينهما ودعم الولايات المتحدة لاستقلال تايوان والصراع من أجل النفوذ في بحر الصين الجنوبي.
